Press Release Summary: Marrying a Man, Raising a Husband Trio of Authors Offer Advice for Marital Bliss in New Book

Press Release Body: PHOENIX, Ariz. - RAISING ~to lift up, elevate, inflate, boost, advance, make better, and improve. Authors and friends Holly Lashawn, Farrellinea, and Katherine Ross present a funny and heart-warming look at marriage in their new book, Marrying a Man, Raising a Husband, (published by AuthorHouse).

Lashawn, Farrellinea and Ross strip bare many of the myths and closely held secrets that can make or break a union between newlyweds. The authors address couples traveling down that bumpy road with humor and compassion.

In "Shopping Lessons," the authors point out the constant frustration of sending a clueless mate to the grocery store with a list. "They substitute 2% low-fat milk with beer, salmon with sardines and skinless chicken breast with frozen pork butt!" say the authors. The trio offer advice for circumventing such cro-magnon tactics.

The authors face the grimmer aspects of a marriage gone wrong as well. "Behind Closed Doors" is a remarkable story about two lovers whose dreams collapse under the weight of spousal abuse.

Lashawn, Farrellinea and Ross make it clear that their intention is not to ridicule the males of the species, but instead bring to light the continual battle between the sexes in a touching and hilarious format. Marriage is an adventure, and Marrying a Man, Raising a Husband is a roadmap for its twists and turns.

Lashawn was born and raised in Los Angeles. She lives with her husband. They have two daughters and three grandchildren. Lashawn is a contributing writer for entertainment publications. Marrying a Man, Raising a Husband is her first book.

Farrellinea was born in Philadelphia. She credits her husband, Arthur, with being the inspiration behind her writing. Marrying a Man, Raising a Husband is Farrellinea's second book. Her first, Sentimental Journeys: Reminiscences of a Street Kid was the recipient of the 1990 Canadian POI award.

Ross studied journalism and creative writing at Long Beach City College. Her poetic talents earned her the "Editor's Choice Award" for her anthology Brilliance of Night. Currently, Ross is working on a compilation of poetry titled Grandmother, Mother and Me.
